Obit for Elizabeth J. Deschenes

Elizabeth (Betty) Deschenes, 86, of Collegeville, Pa. Passed into eternal rest on June 7, 2012 in the Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility at Shannondell in Audubon, Pa. Born Dec. 10, 1925 in Upper Mont Claire, NJ she was a daughter to the late Charles Poulson and Madeline (Donahue) of East Orange, NJ. Betty worked as a retail fashion consultant for years at Lord and Taylor, She was an avid gardener and an incredible domestic chef. She prided herself on these two interests. Betty will be remembered as a warm and caring wife, mother and friend to many. She was a true cosmopolitan who could converse easily with anyone, and make them feel at ease. Betty is survived by her husband Lester Sr., son Lester Jr., his daughters Jenny and Anne, daughter Therese Fresconi and her husband Gary, their children, Elizabeth, Mary, and Gabriel. She is also survived by her sister Gloria, brother Charles and sister-in-law Jean, brother Thomas sister-in-law Marie. Services will be held Wednesday June 13, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Church, 104 Channing Ave. Malvern, Pa. Viewing will be at the church at 10:00 AM with mass to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial service will follow at Great Valley Presbyterian Church 2025 Swedesford Road, Malvern, Pa.
