Elizabeth Oppenlander Bosler, age 91, of Wellington at Hershey’s Mill, West Chester, PA, died on Friday, June 1, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Charles William Bosler Jr. Elizabeth was born on October 5, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA to the late George Schmidt Oppenlander and Elizabeth Ruhland Rebmann Oppenlander.
Elizabeth grew up in the Chestnut Hill area and graduated from Springside Academy and attended Swarthmore College.
She was a Navy WAVE during W.W. II. After which, she had different occupations including copy work for a advertising agency, working at retail shops on the Main Line, a realtor for Emlen Real Estate, but her main occupation was a designer of clothes.
She enjoyed tennis, entertaining friends and family, vacationing in Maine with her family and volunteering at St. Peter’s in the Great Valley Church, where is was a member of the alter guild.
SURVIVORS: Mother of Mark S. Bosler (Marcelle) of Parkesburg, PA and Mary Beth Hayes (Bruce) of Dover, DE; sister of Edith Paugh of Skippack, PA and the late George Frederick Oppenlander of Duck Key, FL; grandmother of Heather, Christopher, Rebekah and Tessa.
SERVICES: Relatives and friends are invited to attend Elizabeth’s life celebration service on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11am at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley 2475 St. Peter’s Road Malvern, PA, where friends may visit from 10-11am. Interment will be private.
