David C. Mellinger Sr. of Malvern David C. Mellinger, Sr., 74, entered into rest on April 30, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn Cornett Mellinger. Dave was born in Manoa, Pa., son of the late Harry B. and Anna G. Kralle Mellinger, Sr. He graduated from Tredyffrin-Easttown High School, class of 1957. David served in the U.S. Army. He retired from the Borough of Malvern. He was a life member of the Malvern Fire Company. David enjoyed hunting, golfing and watching the Phillies and Eagles. David was predeceased by his brother, Harry Mellinger, Jr. Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters, Renay Schoenfeld (Brad) of Downingtown and Anne Marie Mellinger of Malvern; his son, David C. Mellinger, Jr. (Shelby) of Honey Brook; his brother, Robert Mellinger (Barbara) of Southern Pines, N.C.; also his grandchildren, Daniel Mellinger, Erin Mellinger, Matthew Schoenfeld, Courtney Payne, Eric Payne, Elizabeth Payne, Nicole Payne and Taylor Payne. David's Life Celebration service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, at Mauger/Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern, where friends may call from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
